Motor Gathering

About the Event

The Vancouver Island Concours d’Elegance (formally The Motor Gathering) is hosted at the Shawnigan Lake School.
1975 Renfrew Road Shawnigan Lake, B.C. V0R 2W1 Canada

August 25th

The Vancouver Island Concours d’Elegance is unique car show showcasing an array of classic, unique and custom cars and motorcycles for enthusiasts of all ages.

After sponsoring the European Car Picnic for close to 20 years, the GAIN Group knew it was time to create something fresh, exciting and different to allow all motorists of all makes, models and genres to come together at one common ground to celebrate their passion for the automobile.

In 2012, GAIN Group hosted the first show under its new name, Motor Gathering, with approximately 2000 spectators in attendance and over $35,000 in cash donations for the Children’s Health Foundation. After 7 successful years, and with the help and generosity of all our wonderful sponsors, volunteers, registrants and many spectators, the Motor Gathering has raised over $1 million in support of our local families in need.

We have an exciting year ahead with some big changes to the format of the event. We are proud to announce the relaunch of the Motor Gathering as the Vancouver Island Concours d’Elegance on the grounds of Shawnigan Lake School.

Once again, 100% of all funds raised this year will support the David Foster Foundation, the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation and a selection of other local families on Vancouver Island.

We will continue our efforts to support our local community and we encourage you to come out with your families, all whilst witnessing a showcase of some of the most beautiful cars and motorcycles the west coast has to offer.

Categories subject to change at any time without notice.
**A minimum standard applies for all category winners: the winning cars must drive and run well, but might have some incorrect parts. These cars are ready for a long tour without excuses, and the casual passerby will not find any visual flaws. "Good" is the one word description that will represent the minimum standard required of the winning vehicles. Please note we reserve the right to not award a winner within a specific category if they do not fit within these standards. For example, if there is only one car in the category, it does not make that entrant the automatic winner. The vehicle will still be required to have the applicable criteria in order to qualify and win.
