This video about Jayden just touches our hearts and reminds us of the important work the David Foster Foundation does every day. Thank you to everyone for attending the 2017 Motor Gathering and for helping us raise over $174,000 this year in cash donations and over $180,000 in in-kind donations.
On October 6, 2008, parents, Troy and Dayna, gave birth to a 9 lb, 9 oz. baby boy. Jayden Strattner-Brown was the picture of health, and a beautiful addition to their family which included a three-year-old daughter, Belle.
When Jayden was ten weeks old, things took a dramatic turn. Troy and Dayna noticed Jayden’s diapers were dry throughout the night.
The David Foster Foundation teamed up with Manitoba Transplant and ORGANIZE to bring social declarations to Canada.
The David Foster Foundation has teamed up with ORGANIZE, a non-profit that uses technology, open data, and insights from behavioural economics to simplify becoming an organ donor. Learn more about ORGANIZE in this New York Times article.
Although 95% of Americans and Canadians support organ donation, less than 50% of Americans and less than 20% of Canadians are registered organ donors. A statistic far too low. Please help us make a difference this Giving Tuesday! Talk to your loved ones about your desire to become an organ donor, then tell the world on your social media how much you support organ donation by stating, “I am an #organdonor!”.
